Amoburg 1.2gm Injection is a penicillin-type of antibiotic that helps your body fight infections caused by bacteria. It consist of Amoxycillin 1000mg and Clavulanic Acid 200mg. It is used to treat infections of the lungs, ear, nasal sinus, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissue. It will not work for viral infections such as the common cold. Amoburg 1.2gm Injection is used in the management of various bacterial infections such as respiratory tract infections (i.e pneumonia, acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis), urinary tract infections (i.e cystitis, urethritis, pyelonephritis), bone and joint infections (osteomyelitis), middle ear infections (otitis media), tonsillitis, sinusitis, skin and soft tissue infections such as cellulitis, boils, wound infections, intra-abdominal sepsis, dental infections, and infections of genital organs in females. Amoburg 1.2gm Injection is also used as prophylaxis against various bacterial infections associated with major surgeries of the heart, joints, kidney, head and neck, stomach, biliary tract, intestine, and pelvic region. Along with management with this medicine, your doctor might order bacterial culture tests to enhance the outcomes of the management. It contains a combination of medicines called Amoxycillin 1000mg and Clavulanic Acid 200mg, which belong to the group of medicines called Penicillins and Beta-Lactamase Inhibitors. It works by preventing the growth of the bacteria and thus clearing up the infection.
