It usually makes you feel better within a few days, but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.

Amoburg 1.2gm Injection helps in managing bacterial infection, where Amoxicillin works by inhibiting penicillin-binding proteins (which are involved in the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall), leading to the activation of autolytic enzymes in the bacterial cell wall. Therefore, leading to lysis of the cell wall and death of the bacterial cell, clavulanic acid inhibits the activity of bacterial enzymes known as beta-lactamases and hence enhances the antibacterial activity of amoxicillin.

Amoburg 1.2gm Injection is a combination of two medicines: Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid. Amoxycillin is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria.

INTRODUCTION
Amoburg 1.2gm Injection is a penicillin-type of antibiotic that helps your body fight infections caused by bacteria. It consist of Amoxycillin 1000mg and Clavulanic Acid 200mg. It is used to treat infections of the lungs, ear, nasal sinus, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissue. It will not work for viral infections such as the common cold. Amoburg 1.2gm Injection is used in the management of various bacterial infections such as respiratory tract infections (i.e pneumonia, acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis), urinary tract infections (i.e cystitis, urethritis, pyelonephritis), bone and joint infections (osteomyelitis), middle ear infections (otitis media), tonsillitis, sinusitis, skin and soft tissue infections such as cellulitis, boils, wound infections, intra-abdominal sepsis, dental infections, and infections of genital organs in females.
Amoburg 1.2gm Injection is also used as prophylaxis against various bacterial infections associated with major surgeries of the heart, joints, kidney, head and neck, stomach, biliary tract, intestine, and pelvic region. Along with management with this medicine, your doctor might order bacterial culture tests to enhance the outcomes of the management. It contains a combination of medicines called Amoxycillin 1000mg and Clavulanic Acid 200mg, which belong to the group of medicines called Penicillins and Beta-Lactamase Inhibitors. It works by preventing the growth of the bacteria and thus clearing up the infection.
Amoburg 1.2gm Injection is not recommended for use in patients with severe kidney impairment who had a history of liver problems or jaundice after taking penicillin antibiotics. It should be used with caution in patients suffering from glandular fever (a viral infection causing sore throat, high fever, swelling of salivary glands, etc.), liver disease, kidney disease, who are not passing urine daily, convulsions (fits), or large intestine inflammation.
Amoburg 1.2gm Injection is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless necessary. It should be used with caution in breastfeeding women, as it may pass through breast milk. Amoburg 1.2gm Injection should be used with caution in children as it may require dose modification. The most common side effects after receiving Amoburg 1.2gm Injection are diarrhea, thrush (fungal infection), etc. Consult your doctor immediately if any of your symptoms get worse or persist.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
This medicine will be given to you only by a doctor or a nurse into a vein as an intravenous infusion or intravenous injection.
Your doctor will decide the exact dose and duration of management for you depending on your age, body weight, and disease condition.

Common Side Effects of Amoburg 1.2gm Injection : Diarrhoea, Thrush (Candida fungal Infection)
Stop receiving Amoburg 1.2gm Injection and consult your doctor immediately in case you experience:
severe allergic reaction, which includes rashes, collapsing or fainting, swelling of the face and throat, which may cause difficulty breathing, fever, joint pain, swollen lymph nodes of the neck, armpits, and groin, and red or purple raised spots on skin due to inflammation of blood vessels watery diarrhea with blood or mucus, fever, and abdominal pain that occurs due to inflammation of the large intestine.
